The wonderful colors of Fall offer an endless array of subject matter for the casual and serious photographer alike. This workshop will take place in October on a Saturday when the Fall colors are at their peak. Devils Lake area offers many striking backgrounds for photographic and the combination of the two can be spectacular. The scope of presentation includes discussion of shooting in daytime and nighttime hours, during all types of weather conditions, and the pursuit of subject matter that ranges from plants and animals to that of the human-built environment. Classroom presentation, discussion and a mentored day-in-the field are fully integrated to provide a “hands-on” enrichment experience to build upon personally. The first session will be presentation and discussion that introduces the subject matter and explores basic preparation, approaches, equipment and other relevant topics. That session is followed by mentored day-in-the field that begins with a morning of “nature” photography, lunch on your own and then an afternoon of photography of the human-built environment. The final session returns to the classroom for evaluations of student assigned images and concluding discussions,
